10 Helpful Tips to Keep Riding this Winter!
CyclingWeekly magazine give the following top tips to help keep you prepared for cycling through the cold weather…
For the full list of tips please see the Cycling Weekly here. Tips include…
- Clothing: Essential clothing items CyclingWeekly recommend include … a waterproof jacket, thermal bib tights, a thermal undervest, windproof/thermal gloves, clear glasses
- Punctures: These are more likely in winter so CyclingWeekly recommend having at least two tubes and a working pump!
- Food & Drink: Eating enough before and during a ride is as important as ever. If the temperature is really cold, then mix your drink with hot or warm water to stave off the chilling effect, at least for a while.
- Lights: Small, light and very bright rechargeable LED lights can be commonly found and won’t break the bank. Make sure that your lights are charged (or you have fresh batteries) before every ride so that you don’t get caught in the dark during shorter days!
