The West Yorkshire Travel Plan Network

At present there are 10 business and 1200 employees based at Capitol Park, the Park is split into two sites, the East and West and linked by a pedestrian footway.

The Village Hotel is located on Capitol Park West and offers on site fitness and spa facilities, space to eat in Victory Pub & Kitchen, Vinny & Vito and somewhere to drink coffee in Starbucks.

The Capitol Park Travel Plan is a package of travel measures tailored to the needs of the individual organisations at Capitol Park, aimed at promoting sustainable travel choices.

The Travel Plan is not anti-car, but encourages people to consider the range of travel options that are available to them. It is recognised that some journeys are not possible via public transport, walking or cycling and that travelling by car is necessary for some journeys.

Capitol Park have their very own Travel Plan Coordinator. The Travel Plan Coordinator is your first point of contact for any travel worries or questions you might have. If you can’t find the answers on this website send us an email and we’ll get in touch.

The West Yorkshire Travel Plan Network brings together West Yorkshire Metro, the five local authorities of West Yorkshire and Highways England, to support employers from West Yorkshire in promoting more sustainable ways of travelling to work and reducing the number of people who drive alone.

Capitol Park is a member of the network but individual business can apply, membership is open to any employer in West Yorkshire, of any size or sector, who are committed to providing a range of travel planning assistance to its employees.

Membership of the Network is free of charge, and most of their services are also free.
