David Attenborough Suggests Working from Home Could Become the Norm After the Coronavirus Pandemic

David Attenborough has suggested that working from home could become the new norm if people prefer it following the end of the Coronavirus lockdown.

The broadcaster is hopeful that people will realise “you can work very, very well from home, and there is no need to have to endure that terrible journey [to work] packed like sardines in tins going into the middle of the city”.

He also told Christiana Amanpour on CNN that “maybe there will be a shift in the way we work and if that happens that’s because people prefer it that way”.

The Pandemic could lead to millions of people re-thinking their working habits as they have realised how well they can work from home without having to endure the daily commute to work. This will have wider-reaching benefits to reducing congestion, reducing air pollution and combatting climate change.
