Multi-million pound scheme launched for zero-emission buses
The government has announced extra funding for zero-emission buses across England.
Up to £120 million is being made available which will enable local transport authorities to bid for funding to purchase zero-emission buses through the Zero Emission Buses Regional Area (ZEBRA) scheme.
The roll out of these buses will enable local transport authorities to reduce carbon emissions from their local public transport and improve air quality in towns and cities across England.
Up to 500 zero-emission buses will be delivered as part of the funding.
As the roll out of environmentally friendly vehicles across public transport continues, there’s no better time to start travelling sustainably!
