Project Detail
Join CityConnect for their free Christmas Treasure Hunt on the eve of the fun, friendly advent calendar cycle challenge, Winter Wheelers, which gets underway in December.
To promote the unique places that towpaths’ offer for everyone to enjoy, CityConnect have organised a family friendly Christmas Treasure Hunt, as well as celebrating the achievements of the programme over the past five years.
Maps and clues will be available to collect from the Coffee Station, Hebden Bridge Train Station, between 9.30am and 11.30am on Saturday 30 November.
People will be asked to return to the Coffee Station by 1.30pm at the latest for light refreshments and to collect their Christmas Treasure.
The 3km route can be completed on foot, by bike or on a scooter. It’s also suitable for buggies.
Please sign up for the event by selecting “Going” on their Facebook event so they know how many people to expect.
Please note
• All children under 16-years-old must be accompanied by an adult.
• Waterproof coats, hats, gloves and wellies are recommended.
• The route is suitable for buggies, though you may need to make a small diversion over, rather than under, Hebble End Bridge.
Through its CityConnect programme, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and partners have been improving the canal towpath network across Calderdale and beyond since 2014, helping more people get around on foot or by bike.
